STMicro Unveils SATA Drive Interface for HDD PCs

STMicroelectronics has unveiled a multi-interface physical layer interface for SATA drives for mobile desktop HDD PCs that it said will double the maximum data transfer speed from 3Gbps to 6Gbps.
