HP to buy EDS for $US12.6 bn in challenge to IBM

Hewlett-Packard plans to buy technology outsourcing company Electronic Data Systems to better compete against IBM, but Wall Street questioned whether the $US12.6 billion deal for a slow-growing company was overpriced.
