MarketWatch: Ciena Broadens as Zhone Narrows Remit

Last week saw a juxtaposition of moves in carrier networking when on the same day, WDM and Ethernet vendor Ciena announced the acquisition of World Wide Packets, while broadband infrastructure provider Zhone sold off a couple of businesses to focus entirely on access.
