AnalystWatch: UK Govt Orders BSkyB to Cut ITV Stake

On January 29, the UK government’s Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) requested that BSkyB reduce its stake in ITV from 17.9% to below 7.5%. BERR also specified that the shares BSkyB sells do not go to an “associated person”, and the company is barred from having someone on the ITV board.
