RFMD Expands Footprint with $900m Sirenza buy
RF Micro Devices (RFMD) is paying $900m in cash and shares for Sirenza Microdevices in a move that it said would increase its total addressable market by 67% to $20bn. The deal takes RF from its core market in mobile handsets to Sirenza's customer base in multiple RF markets, including broadband/CATV, wireless infrastructure, WiMAX and aerospace and defense.
